Juju (Juliana) Chan has followed in the footsteps of so many impressive Tisch graduates and forged a successful creative career. She is a canto-pop singer and actress in Hong Kong, and also practices martial arts, both as a hobby and for her upcoming action roles in big Hollywood flicks.
“My favorite thing about living in Hong Kong is definitely the mix of the East and West culture and lifestyle in the city,” she says. “Also, Hong Kong is a city that never sleeps. It's always exciting and interesting; you will never get bored here. And the food is excellent.”
When Bevin Maguire was a student at NYU, she traveled throughout England and Ireland for a month the summer of her junior year, and caught the travel bug. She now lives in Shanghai, China with her three girls and her husband, on international assignment with IBM Global Business Services, the business consulting division of IBM.
“There is a lot of thinking you need to do before moving your family overseas,” says Bevin. “In some ways this was easy for us, because a few years back I was a candidate for a role that didn't pan out. So we had gone through the ‘what if’ process three years ago.”
