How to Apply

Students applying to NYU Shanghai are considered international students if their education does not culminate in the Chinese Gaokao exam. Regardless of where you live, where you have studied, or what curriculum you have followed, if your education doesn't culminate in the Chinese Gaokao exam, NYU Shanghai will consider you an international student. For international students, the application process outlined here is consistent with the application processes for US universities.

To apply, you must select a decision plan (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision), which determines when your applications for admission and financial aid are due as well as when you will be notified of an admissions decision. Regardless of the plan you choose, you will only be considered for one plan across all NYU campuses, programs, and schools during an annual application cycle.
